Chain of custody

Traceability that follows the gold

FIQS tracks the supply chain from mine source through supplier onboarding, purchase, transport, refining and sale. Each custody event links to the relevant mine, supplier, documentation, approval history, risk status and transaction record.

Core record

Mine record, licence and GPS-verified site

Required evidence

Licence, site photographs, production log

Responsible

Site supervisor

Risk state

Site-level risk rating

Ledger references

What the blockchain component actually does

Selected custody and transaction references are recorded through Polygon, creating a tamper-resistant audit trail. Once written, the reference provides a durable point of comparison for due diligence, audit and counterparty review.

What is written

A reference to selected custody and transaction events — enough to prove a record existed in a given state at a given time.

What is not

Not all platform data is held on-chain. Supplier files, documents and personal data stay in the platform, under its access controls and retention rules.

Single source of truth

One record, joined to everything it touches
